The Ephesus Event: Standing in the Shadow of History
OCTOBER 23, 2024
The Ephesus Event is a first for the modern Apostolic movement. October 17-24, 2024 will see an Apostolic Journey like no other. After touring the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia, guided by Apostolic leaders and staying in four and five-star hotels, the entire group will be granted after-hours access to the Ephesus Archaeological Park. The Ephesus Event (Wednesday, October 23) begins with an early morning tour of the site so that it can be viewed during the morning hours best for taking pictures. After a relaxing day, we will return to the Ephesus Archaeological Park at closing time for exclusive, after-hours access and non-rushed personal time. Beginning at 8:00 PM, we will gather in front of the famous Library of Celsus for a unique event sculpted by Apostolics.
8:00 – Welcome
8:10 – The significance of Ephesus in history and scripture.
8:20 – Music
8:27 – The Shadow of History (Douglas Walker)
8:50 – Music
9:00 – Wilson University and Hope Corps Commencement
9:30 – Special Unveiling of new courses at Wilson University ‘Bible History and Archaeology’
9:35 – The Unchanging Apostolic Message (Nathaniel Urshan)
10:00 – Reception
11:00 – Event concludes with a walk through the agora and past the theatre to the exit gate. Return to the hotel.
This will be an enjoyable and historic event for Apostolics in the ancient city of Ephesus.
DRESS:
Dr. Wilson, President of Wilson University, is requesting that everyone with a degree wear regalia so we are figuring all that out. We will be contacting you to see if you want to use a local company to steam your gown and deliver it to the site for you, etc.
Dr. King, Director of Hope Corps, is requesting that all Hope Corps Alumni and Graduates be in Hope Corps uniform.
For those not wearing regalia or HC uniform:
Men: a sport jacket and tie.
Ladies: Dressy
For all: Wear comfortable shoes. Heels would not be suitable for the terrain of the location.
